Run, trot or walk through the beautiful streets of Garden City for a great cause
The mission of the Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation is to ensure the excellence as well as the continuance of Catholic schools on Long Island by increasing awareness and by providing scholarship and program funding for the needs of students and schools. The Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation gives hundreds of children each year the opportunity to attend Catholic elementary school.
Schedule of street closures:
Fourth Street, between Franklin and Hilton Avenues, will be closed at 8 a.m. Other streets along the race routes will also be closed.
Routes:
Fun Run — 8:30 – 9 a.m.
West on Fourth Street from St. Joseph School, north on Hilton Avenue to Fifth Street, right onto Fifth Street, U-turn on Fifth Street before Franklin Avenue (in front of the Rectory and west of the municipal parking lot) and return to St. Joseph School on Fourth Street.
5K Walk/Run — 9 a.m.
Start in the vicinity of St Joseph School on Fourth Street, west of Franklin Avenue. It will then proceed westbound Fourth Street to northbound Hilton Avenue, northbound Hilton Avenue to westbound Sixth Street, westbound Sixth Street to southbound Rockaway Avenue, southbound Rockaway Avenue to eastbound First Street, eastbound First Street to eastbound Atlantic Avenue, eastbound Atlantic Avenue to northbound Barnes Lane, northbound Barnes Lane to northbound Hilton Avenue, northbound Hilton Avenue to westbound on Third Street, westbound Third Street to northbound Rockaway Avenue, northbound Rockaway Avenue to eastbound Fourth Street, ending in front of St Joseph School.
All streets along the route will be closed during the event.
