Man Robbed In New Cassel


Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in New Cassel Thursday, Jan. 7 at 9:53 p.m.

According to detectives, a 41 year old male victim was walking behind Park Avenue School located at 998 Park Ave. when two unknown males approached, each displaying a handgun and demanding cash. Subject one punched the victim in the left side of his face that caused painful swelling. The other subject hit the victim with his handgun in the face causing a contusion to the left eye and abrasions. Money was removed from the victim’s wallet and a cell phone was also removed. The subjects then fled on foot running toward Elderberry Road. A Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital and treated for his injuries.

The subjects are described as male, wearing black masks, black attire, black gloves and black shoes.
