August 1

Rock N’ Brews Festival: A Tribute To Johnny Winter
WBAB is holding a concert at NYCB Theatre in Westbury. Featuring The Edgar Winter Band, Vanilla Fudge, Peter Rivera of Rare Earth and Savoy Brown’s Kim Simmonds. There will also be craft beer, BBQ, prizes and live music on deck before the show. Tickets are $52. 6 p.m. Visit for more information.

Big Head Todd and the Monsters

Cool Off With Olaf

August 2

New Cassel Farmers Market

plenty of fruits and veggies to choose from, including kale, carrots, zucchini, apples, beans, tomatoes, and more. At the First Baptist Cathedral Parking Lot, 212 Garden St. from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. (unless sold out earlier).

Marvel Day
Honor Marvel’s 75th anniversary at Barnes and Noble in Carle Place with a storytime and activities. There will be great giveaways, including a chance to win special Marvel prizes and more. Come dressed as your favorite Marvel character. 11 a.m., 7 p.m. Call 516-741-9850 for more information.

Yoga At Old Westbury Gardens
Professional Kripalu Yoga instructor, Lorili Henry, will lead students through a dynamic, yet gentle, continuous flow of postures and conscious breathing. Participants must bring a yoga mat, yoga strap and towel. $15 per session; $5 members (weather permitting, includes Gardens admission). 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Ballroom With A Twist

August 3

Tai Chi At Old Westbury Gardens
Tai Chi, a unique form of “moving meditation” calms the mind, relaxes the body and strengthens the spirit. Sessions are taught by professional Tai Chi instructor, Linda Cafiero, and are designed for all experience levels. $15 per session; $5 members (rain or shine, includes Gardens admission). 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

6:35 Fest
For the first time ever, Long Island will be home to a Christian music festival with some of the best names out there. Headliners Big Daddy Weave and The City Harmonic will be joined by Love & The Outcome, Je’Kob, Ike Ndolo and Rust Iron Green.
